The Norton Lane project was the construction of 3 luxury detached dwellings and 4 high specification apartments, all stone built with a high quality finish that included the sustainable feature of sleek photovoltaic solar panels. A new adoptable access road and all associated external works including planting and landscaping were also carried out as part of the development.
We provided an initial feasibility cost estimate and report before compiling a fully detailed cost estimate on completion of building regulation drawings, this was prepared and submitted for the purposes of bank funding approval. As the project was ongoing, we carried out a monthly cost monitoring service including site valuations, financial reports and final account. Monthly cost reports were drafted and submitted to the bank funder for release of monthly funded payments.
To control cost we provided various value engineering solutions in response to strict planning conditions and also additional works and changes in design as the project progressed, because of this we were able to deliver the project financially within the strict budgetary allocations of the bank funder.
The completed project was a great success with the scheme blending in seamlessly to the surrounding area. The client was delighted that costs were controlled and budgets were achieved successfully.
